Dolphin Derby 2025
Funded by Tendring District Council’s UKSP fund, offered making workshops to the general public making sea creature costumes and headdresses for a race on the beach, paying homage to the donkey derbies of yesteryear. In2026 it will return bigger and better with a small ‘big top’, the Cirque Poubelle and a miniature carnival on a sea creature theme.

The Eco Youth Project 2024-25
Funded by Essex Arts & Culture fund, Jane worked with young people from a financially deprived area and young people with learning disabilities on an environmental engagement project. The artist organised and project managed the project, employing skills of other artists working in recycled materials. research was done with the help of professors and students from Essex University’s School of Life Sciences. The project gave the young people information about blue marine career opportunities as well as engaging them with the local marine environment, our relationship with it and how they, as young adults, can spearhead change to protect it.

Rail Projects 2025- ongoing
Harwich town Community garden created from a disused carpark next to the station, involving community groups and schools to create a space for the community to enjoy.
Walton Bee friendly planter, working with asylum seeking group to create artwork for the new planter.
Rail 200 community train. Creating a series of carriages through time, working with local people to collect mini self portraits to populate the carriages.

Mapping the Colne 2022- ongoing
Multiple walks with an art activity and talks for various diverse groups including asylum seekers, adults with learning disabilities and women’s groups along the banks of the river Colne, from source to sea.
Exploring the health and history of the river, including stories of riverside towns through history, collecting water samples, the results of which were published in Earthwatch Europe’s Waterblitz magazine. Partially funded by Colchester City Councils Cultural events fund.

Colchester Sculpture Map 2025
Working with multiple diverse groups to create a map of outdoor art and sculpture around the centre of the city of Colchester, exploring the city’s history and the art that celebrates it. Funde by Colchester City Council’s Cultural & Creative Events Fund
