Dolphin Derby 2025.
The photo right is of me in my happy place on the beach where I live in North Essex, UK.
My arts practice is rooted in educating and engaging people with what goes on beneath the surface of the sea, rivers and other water bodies. There is also a hint of environmental activism in there too. I first started organising beach clean up events in 1994 in Hong Kong and still it gets no better.
I am a reactive artist, responding to the materials I find, a bit like a Womble. I try to tread lightly on this planet, so I work with found items, be that marine waste or natural materials.
Early in 2026 I was awarded some funding to research bio-materials, originally because I wanted to find an alternative to using PVA glue and to be able to inform people of available alternatives through my work.
